Description	-Looking for actors for the roles of Paranormal Investigators; and one older woman.- This is a short student film. Audition date: Thursday, 25, starting at 7:00, on MCAD Campus. Pitch: Alexander Norton and Jacob Whitaker, paranormal investigators, struggle to gain recognition and acceptance from their community. With no true cases, the two friends peruse the National Enquirer and other tabloids, chasing hoaxes in hopes of discovering true cryptids and paranormal phenomena. When they receive a call from an old lady who witnessed her pet being snatched up by a chupacabra, they jump at the chance to prove themselves by making a legit discovery. When arriving at the scene, the partners are met with skepticism and disbelief, and after falling asleep on a “stakeout,” they have a falling out and part ways; however, after experiencing flashbacks of fond (and, yet, not so fond) moments, the duo make amends and set out, once again, to catch the elusive chupacabra. Finally coming face to face with the beast, the duo hits a hitch, allowing for “Chupey” to escape, and ultimately leading to the exposure of Jacob’s real intentions. CHARACTER DESCRIPTIONS: JACOB WHITAKER Prefers to go by “Jake” and insists on calling Alexander “Alex.” He gains most of his knowledge of the supernatural from Alexander and entertainment media. He can be somewhat of a goofball, and seems to have a need to eat on the job. He is friendly, but can be mildly irritating while also being rather endearing. Has an extreme affinity for supernatural beings. ALEXANDER NORTON A serious young man who insists on calling people by their full names. Has feared and hated supernatural beings since a young age, at which point he encountered a “particularly nasty ghost”. It is currently his life mission to exterminate all supernatural things. Wishes to gain recognition for this, as it would aid his cause. He has been Jacob’s friend since they were children. Very stoic but also loyal. COLLETTE The Paranormal Investigator’s first call-in customer. Her cat Mittens was eaten by a Chupacabra. She is sweet and inviting, but also a little bit flaky and eccentric.
