I have heard a lot of conflicting info about NXT Entertainment, can anyone shed some light on them for me. I met with the head lady in charge but am confused because I thought originally she was teaming up with Perfectly Petite?
NXT Entertainment is a new, talent agency that is NOT connected with Perfectly Petite. NXT Entertainment has an office in Bloomington and one office in California and is building it's talent pool and in the process of becoming a union signitor.
The Minnesota Branch is owned by Stephanie Allensworth and she's diligently working to build her agency. She has a strong work ethic and is developing a comprehensive website that includes talent reels. www.nxtentertainmentinc.com
At one time, the owner of NXT Entertainment in California was in partnership with someone from Perfectly Petite but that relationship was dissolved.
As a professional actor and acting coach in Minnesota, I recommend this agency. Stephanie is working hard to expand her client base and get opportunities for talent. You can have your headshot, resume and talent reel on her website for $50. That's a good deal.
I would not recommend any affiliation with Perfectly Petite.

I just noticed this post and had to respond. My daughter is listed with several agencies, and this is one of the VERY VERY VERY few that didn't ask for lots of money. Just a VERY low-priced $ to put on website, and you can bring in your own headshots instead of spending tons on a designated photographer. Obviously, they make their money from placing talent in jobs, NOT from bilking talent out of their money.
I know they just broke off from NXT and are now Allensworth Entertainment. It's a newer agency, and my daughter's already been sent on several auditions and opportunities.
An interesting thing about this industry is that you can be AWESOME & hugely talented, but if you don't have THE certain look that a certain client seeks for a certain job, you won't be picked. The agency's job is to screen based on what the client tells them they are seeking (if the client wants black hair, a blonde is not going to be sent), so the agency will refer the best matches for the client's needs. Sometimes, it takes awhile for a perfect match to happen. And even if you seem to be a perfect match, the client may find a more-perfect match.
In our experience, it appears this agency is very legit and hard-working.
