I recently attended, along with three other girls from my SMALL school, an Image One convention at a Red Roof Inn. We all got accepted to potentially become "models" We all, and our parents, find this fishy since MANY other girls were there and me and my friends got accepted. Not that we aren't happy, it just seems a little sketch that we would all get accepted. We have searched the internet and have found some "not so nice" things about Image One Model and Talent Agency.
Does anyone else have info about this agency? Or a legitimate modeling agency, where my friends and I could possibly peruse our dream?
Quick question; I happened to be surfing the web. Are you and/or your friends 5'7" or taller? That really will make a difference. With that height (and the taller, the better), you could try and pursue the fashion side of modeling. If not, even at 5'6", you better be the next Kate Moss. If you don't meet the height/size requirements, you may want to look into being involved with print/commercials. In that case, here are some agencies: Moore Creative Talent, Wehmann Models and Talent. There may be more but these are the two that I know much about and are SAG franchised (if you choose that you want to get into acting).
Also, I guess that last question is: Do you want to be a model or actor?
Also, you should never pay to be part of an agency. Just a cautionary FYI!

If they are out of St. Cloud. I "signed" with them and got promotional work for Target but that was about it. Just remember that a reputable agency will not make you pay to join them!

Well, if they're anything like some of the old "modeling" agencies out there than this is probably a scam as well.
Did they ask you for money to take classes, get pictures done or anything else?
If your answer is yes, then run far, run fast! You're better off auditioning for the next cycle of "America's Next Top Model" 'cos all this agency wants is your money.
As far as "Legitimate" pure modeling agencies, about the only decent ones left are Wehmann and Moore Creative - niether of which accept open calls or emailed photos.

My son and I attended this course. It was thorough and informative, but only one job was successfully offered. The pay was less than $10/hour and the drive was extensive. It's been over a year and there has been no further offerings for modeling and no communication from the company. I agree....if you have to pay for it, it's probably not a good deal.

I drove 3 hours and spent 40 dollars going to a seminar for Image 1 Model and Talent Agency. At the seminar they demanded over $2000 for you to model for them. They kept saying; "You don't have to pay any more than this 40 dollars but if you pay 2000 for pictures and modeling classes and etc etc. it will make you more marketable." I didn't pay that because I knew it was probably a scam to begin with since it was 40 bucks.
They NEVER called me back. When I called them up they demanded I spend more money on classes etc and they claimed thats why I never got jobs.
Real models are 5'7 skinny and attractive. They work for Ford, Elite, and Next.
The idea of a talent agency where all ages, sizes and shapes are welcome is bull. This is a scam. If you are tall enough, make an appointment with Ford, Elite or Next model agency. These are legitimate. If you aren't tall enough, like me, you need to give it up.You aren't going to be a model and thats life. I'm currently going to school for cosmetology because thats what I think is fun and its the closest I'll get to becoming a model. <3
