| Message | Ransom Pictures is currently in pre-production on a surreal drama entitled “The Bad Valentine,” a short movie chronicling the psychological breakdown of two young women. A set of auditions for the roles listed below is set to be held on Sunday, June 6th at the Varsity Theater in Minneapolis from 12:00 noon – 3:00pm. The Varsity is located at 1308 Southeast 4th Street.
Christine (female, ages 25 - 40) – A talented theater actress who is infatuated with her male costar as well as fascinated by her close friend Nancy. Though gifted in acting, she struggles socially and finds herself becoming lost in Nancy’s shadow.
Nancy (female, ages 25 – 40) – An aspiring actress who may not have the skills necessary to succeed. However, unlike Christine she knows how to use her seductive qualities and is able to charm anyone with little effort.
Bruce (male, ages 25 – 40) A handsome and masculine theater actor who has the wit and coolness to ease through any situation, even though he appears to have little insight into what his female associates are really thinking.
The Director (male, ages 30 and up) A big hearted and passionate theater director who is shepherding the play – a minor role.
Production is scheduled to take place over the weekend of Saturday, July 31st in New Ulm, Minnesota and the weekend of Saturday, August 8th around the Twin Cities area. During the Saturday and Sunday spent in New Ulm, housing and meals will be provided for.
Unfortunately we cannot offer any payment, but meals will be provided for during shooting and you will receive full credit for your work, along with a copy of the finished movie.
